The marine extracts in Natural Marine Extracts (NME) in Aloe Vera Gel are responsibly and sustainably sourced from edible species like abalone, sea cucumber and scallops. NME has been used in tens of thousands of applications without a single reported allergic reaction.

In a formal 4 month study of 283 patients, there were no allergic reactions, even with 14 patients with known seafood allergies.

Furthermore, tests run in 2021 and 2022 by the Consumer Products Testing Company show that NME in Aloe Vera Gel is non-irritating to the skin and eyes.

The skin test (Repeated Insult Patch Test):

Protocol No. CP-01.01S), NME in AVG was applied to a group of 56 participants, male and female between the ages of 16 and 79, three times a week for 3 weeks to the same site on the skin. No adverse reactions were observed.

For the eye test, (The MatTek Corp. EpiOcular Tissue Model In Vitro Testing System; Protocol: IVP-MTTEO), NME in AVG was tested and found to be non-irritating when applied to a human corneal eye cell culture.

Another test run by the Consumer Products Testing Company proved the antimicrobial properties of NME in AVG. The PCPC Antimicrobial Test established the effectiveness in neutralizing a combination of five common microbial organisms.

NME in AVG met the criteria of 99.9% neutralization of bacteria and 90% of the yeast/mold in 7 days - in fact, these levels were neutralized by day 2.

Results are included in Consumer Products Testing Company test reports C21-7168, V21-7148 and M21-7149.
