Choosing Products
Miracle of the Sea with Natural Marine Extract
Natural Marine Extract is a completely natural compound, composed of twelve marine species extracts. Most of Natural Marine Extract species have been grown using a revolutionary “environmentally beneficial” process including the policy of Marine Biology & Environmental Technologies, LLC to never test its products on animals. Note that in a 283 patients study, there were no allergic reactions recorded even with 14 people who had “seafood allergies.”
Both products are delivery vehicles for Miracle of the Sea's patented Natural Marine Extract.
The Miracle of the Sea Aloe Vera Gel and Almond Oil are designed to maximize absorption. The Almond oil is usually used for drier skin. The Aloe Vera Gel can be used all skin types but is also recommended for all skin types.
Aloe Vera Gel and Almond Oil can be combined by applying the Aloe Vera Gel first.
Essential oils have the following qualities:
Lemon essential oil helps lighten lentigines (a lentigo is also known as a “sun spot”, “age spot” or liver spot).
Lavender essential oil is an excellent anti-oxidant - quelching pre-radicals (especially for sun lovers).
Peppermint essential oil dilates capillaries to accentuate the permeability of the blood vessels to allow more stem cell perculation into the desired area (thus increasing rejuvenation).
Practice caution when applying products containing peppermint essential oils near eyes. Keep eyes shut for two minutes after application.
Yes. You can request either of our topicals: Aloe Vera Gel and Almond Oil with no essential oil.
Our lemon, peppermint and lavender essential oils diminish the natural marine scent. Many people prefer the original scent of Miracle of the Sea lotion with Natural Marine Extract because it "smells like the real deal”.
As with all people who have sensitive skin, everything applied to your skin must be monitored carefully. You may wish to dilute Miracle of the Sea aloe vera gel or almond oil prior to applying the first several treatments to only a small area on your temple. If you have minimal or no reaction then the product can be increased to the full strength of the preparation. People with sensitive skin must also watch for interactions with other products.
Miracle of the Sea with Natural Marine Extract Lotion was tested on 283 subjects (see Natural Marine Extract study) and there were no allergic reactions even with 14 “seafood allergic people”). However, allergic reactions are possible, 2% Natural Marine Extract in Almond Oil or Aloe Vera Gel with with lavender essential oil has only two supporting ingredients, thus the chances of reaction are very small. We also offer those products with no essential oil. This does not mean that an allergic reaction cannot occur and if it does, please stop using all topical preparations and medical treatment should be sought.
When applied as directed, one 48ml bottle of Miracle Of The Sea Natural Marine Extract in Aloe Vera Gel should last eight months when used on the face and neck or seven months on the forearms and hands.
Retinol, Glycolic Acid and Vitamin C
All three of these stimulate “young” fibrocytes to produce collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid to make the skin stronger, more elastic and thicker. However, people older than 55 years old have weak non productive fibrocytes. Thus, Miracle of the Sea with Natural Marine Extract should be used for at least two months prior to starting Retinol, Vitamin C or Glycolic Acid.
The fibrocytes (cells which produce and maintain the skin) decrease function with age. Products like Retin A, Retinol, alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) and vitamin C creams stimulate fibrocytes to produce collagen only. But old fibrocytes have minimal response to any stimuli. Thus, these commonly used products have virtually no benefit for older skin. The ingredients in Natural Marine Extract, on the other hand, stimulate the production of new fibrocytes with a significant capacity for collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid synthesis.

Miracle of the Sea (MOTS) Natural Marine Extract in Aloe Vera Gel and Almond Oil
Only a small amount, just enough to spread over the desired area is sufficient to get results.
There are no restrictions on total volume used per day if you wanted to use Miracle of the Sea over the entire body.
“Miracle of the Sea with Natural Marine Extract is a treatment*, not a daily skin care,” observes Dr. Lewis.
Depending on the severity of your problem, the suggested application directions will be to start applying once a day to once every other day. Decreasing applications over time as the skin improves. After several months, maintenance application is once or twice a week.
The number one most essential element of application for Miracle of the Sea Aloe Vera Gel or Almond Oil is to massage it into the skin: vigorously for a minimum of 20 seconds. Count out loud or use a timer at least once to get a feel for how long 20 seconds is.
Especially with the MOTS Aloe Vera Gel, it is helpful to add your favorite moisturizer (lotion or oil) to provide a smooth film for massaging in the MOTS product after applying. See more about moisturizer in the following FAQs.
Your skin is most open when it is warm. Therefore, immediately following bathing is a good time to apply Miracle of the Sea products.
You should not overuse exfoliants (most call for limiting use to two times a week) but an exfoliant combined with your bathing routine creates a good face and body prep for Miracle of the Sea products.
It is not crucial but helpful to aid in the massaging (for 20 seconds) and seal Natural Marine Extract into the skin, increasing its potency.
Any moisturizer that provides a smooth film for the 20 second massaging will be fine.
Absolutely if the sunscreen is a moisturizer then it can be used for the 20 second massaging.
NO! This will dilute and weaken your Miracle of the Sea with Natural Marine Extract product.
By applying moisturizer after MOTS, it will seal MOTS in and improve its benefit.
By sealing the MOTS with NME, the moisturizer will increase the penetration of Miracle of the Sea and increase its strength.
Diluting the strength of MOTS with NME with your favorite moisturizer and decreasing the application frequency usually minimizes excessive reaction.
Most people will experience tingling between the first five and fifteen treatments. That is the start of the expected reaction and is part of the metamorphosis of the skin. If after thirty applications over a two-month period no reaction is seen, then a higher strength should be considered. If there is no reaction, most customers still have striking results but over a longer period of time.
Our studies indicate that there are no adverse effects to more quantity. However, increased frequency of application and force of massage will speed desired results.
Applying and massaging in Natural Marine Extract in Aloe Vera Gel and following that with massaging in Natural Marine Extract should amplify your results. Adding the Natural Marine Extract Capsules synergistically improves results from our various topical products.
As with all skin care products, care must be taken when different products are combined. Always apply Miracle of the Sea with Natural Marine Extract before other products. Allow it to completely penetrate and then apply your moisturizer and massage for 20 seconds. Adding other products following this procedure must be handled carefully. Testing a small area with other products before applying to the entire area is recommended.
Dr. Lewis responds, “No. I have observed that many people who do not have tingling or pinkness do, over a longer period of time, have beneficial results. But it might take three to four months rather than the two months that I expect to start seeing results if tingling and pinkness occur.”

Precautions
The speed of benefit will depend on several things:
1. Problem - Certain problems resolve faster than others
2. Age - The older you are, the slower the desired response
3. Degree of Problem - The more severe the problem, the slower it will resolve
4. Smoking will inhibit all healing processes, especially rejuvenation
5. Diabetes will slow rejuvenation because it negatively impacts the microcirculation
6. Nutrition - Good, well balanced diet with a solid protein basis will benefit rejuvenation (you are what you eat)
7. Genetics - Affects all health, especially the skin
Between a few weeks to six or eight months. When tingling and pinkness is noticed after application, the benefit is much quicker.
Our studies indicate that even individuals with seafood allergies have not experienced an allergic reaction due to applying Miracle of the Sea with Natural Marine Extract (NME) topical products. This does not mean that an allergic reaction cannot happen. Of course, if you feel you are seeing an allergic reaction, please discontinue use and possibly seek medical attention. Please note that in the very early use of NME, some users initially experience some red dots or what look like pimples on their skin. This is a normal reaction that people with underlying actinic keratoses or other pre-cancers may see. It should go away within about 2 weeks of continued use.
You should not ingest any Miracle of the Sea product if you have a seafood allergy.
Conditions
Stretch Marks
Stretch marks are much more common than people think. 25-35% of teenagers, both thin and overweight, up to 90% of women who have had at least two children, and 95% of bodybuilders have stretch marks. They last a lifetime. They are most commonly located over the buttocks, back, abdomen, breasts, thighs and in the groin and under the arms.
The medical term for stretch marks is striae distensae. These “stripes” consist of thin, wrinkled skin. They go through an irreversible progression of reddish to purple and then to white. Microscopically, the skin of stretch marks is “old”, weak and thin. There is a complete loss of elastin fibers and marked decrease of collagen, hyaluronic acid, fibrocytes and capillaries, very similar to an old scar.
Up until now, there has been no successful treatment. Past treatments have included Retin A, Vitamin C, glycolic acid and Fraxel Laser, none of which could stimulate the atrophic fibrocytes of stretch marks. The ingredients in Natural Marine Extract generate the production of new, young, active fibrocytes which create significant collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid synthesis. This allows the atrophic, thin skin to regain its thickness. Dr. Eric Lewis observes, “this process is faster in young people but even old stretch marks can completely resolve.”
Thin, Fragile, Crepe, Easily Bruised or Torn Skin
Starting at about thirty years of age the skin loses 2 to 3% per year of its strength, elasticity, volume and the cells and blood vessels which grow, maintain and nourish it. This deterioration increases with sun damage. Thus, by age sixty, up to 90% of a sun lover's skin and its function are gone. A good analogy of this process is comparing the skin to a factory which starts with 100 thirty-year old workers producing the three major skin components: collagen (strength), elastin (elasticity), and hyaluronic acid (volume). Thirty years later there are only ten sixty-year old workers left. Expecting increased production from these old workers to improve skin quality would be foolhardy.
