Two Decades of Research Reveals Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Benefits
The members of the MBET Healing Compounds Team are medical doctors of multiple disciplines including marine biologists, biologists, pharmacists, pharmaceutical patent lawyers, FDA experts and “big pharma" executives whose research over the past 20 years has focused on the treatment benefits of the ingredients of marine extracts for cutaneous and systemic 1) rejuvenation and 2) stimulation of the immune system to kill cancer cells.
Research Reveals Rejuvenating & Healing Compounds of the Sea
The marine environment which created life 3.5 billion years ago is the “natural” location for uncovering the rejuvenating and healing powers of the ocean. The MBET Healing Compounds Team has researched and developed specific compounds to benefit human health.
Starting in 2001, MBET scoured global literature for any and all ocean compounds (plant and animal) reported to have human health benefit.
- Over 3400 compounds were identified. They are all edible and safe.
- Using many different techniques (no animal testing was used), the efficacy of these compounds was evaluated and reduced to less than 1200.
- Those were then dermatologically tested by over 100 volunteers for over a year and further distilled down to the present 88 marine extract compounds.
Beginning in 2012, different combinations and concentrations of these 88 compounds from the ocean were combined forming many revolutionary products (and even more to come).
The first patented product of this extraordinary collaboration of MBET Healing Compound Team members has been the development of Natural Marine Extract (NME). NME is a completely natural and edible product.
The unique formulations of Natural Marine Extract are derived from natural marine species such as Holothuria cinerascens (ashy sea cucumber), Spirulina pacifica (Hawaiian spirulina), Chalmys rubida (Pacific pink scallop), Strongylocentrotus franciscanus (giant red urchin), Holothuria mexicana (donkey dung sea cucumber), Haliotis fulgens (green abalone), Arthrospira platensis (spirulina), Stichopus chloronotus (greenfish sea cucumber), Stronylocentrotus purpuratus (purple urchin), Haliotus rufescens (red abalone), Holothuria scabra (sandfish, a sea cucumber), Ascophyllium nodosum (knotted wrack kelp),Macrocystis integrifolia (giant kelp), and Microcystis aeruginosa (blue green algae).
The compounds found in these species are the basis of the therapeutic products developed and tested by dermatologists, pharmacists, plastic surgeons and other medical doctors to successfully enhance thin, weak, atrophic skin as seen in the following skin conditions:
